The morning will be primarily for young horses with instruction on longe line rules, starting your horse on the longe line, feeding and conditioning of yearlings, and grooming and trimming. We will also be getting into teaching yearlings some maneuvers for trail competition. Lunch will be available. After lunch, Laura Lake will provide a seminar on showmanship. Leanne Hoaglund will also be doing a segment called "From the Judge's Perspective". The clinic is free although donations are welcome to cover the cost of lunch. For more information, please contact Sandy Lee at 232-3770 or Julie Korkow at 554-3123. This will be an excellent experience for young horses and will serve as a great refresher for the upcoming show season. These shows are open to everyone, classes for all age groups, snaffle bit classes, everything from Halter, to Trail & Pleasure classes and Western Riding, Reining, and games (Barrels, Poles, Flag Race, etc.). If you would like more information you can email me at dawnamyt@yahoo.com. The NWSCA is down to only 8 shows this summer so some of us have been looking for other showing opportunities. That's how I ended up on your website! Depending on how the dates work, you may see us at Glendive and/or Wibaux next year.
