Comment by Tori Beley February 27, 2009 @ 1:52 amWELL TRAINED AQHA SHOW GELDING FOR SALE – We are offering for sale Guy Buck Blackburn, a 12 yr old brown/bay gelding, about 15.1 HH. I am currently using him in novice events – he knows his stuff (much more than I do) in showmanship, horsemanship (equitation), pleasure, western riding; not much speed but okay for peewee speed events and beginning reining for kids to learn. Granddaughters rode him when they were 6-10 yrs old & did very well in 4H plus learned lots.

I have a navy blue showmanship suit (medium)and matching size 6.5 B Justin boots and several show saddle blankets and assorted shirts and misc. items for sale. My daughter’s feet grew two sizes in a year and she can’t wear them for this year’s season. I bought them at Stateline Tack last year for $70 and I will sell them for $35. I know of a family looking for a good solid, very gentle horse. They are novice riders so it is important that the horse is gentle. I told them I would put it out to all the members and see if someone had one for sale. If so contact me and I will let them know. Thanks! Marge Griebel
Comment by Marge Griebel October 8, 2007 @ 11:45 pmWe have a great barrel prospect for sale. He’s a registered AQHA grandson of On the Money Red, 5 yr old gelding. My stepdaughter bought him as a 3 yr old but since she works full-time and has 2 kids, she traded us for an 8 yr old horse that she can just get on and go with. Believe me, he’s got the speed!!!
“Casper” was broke by a girl in MN with the intent of making him a barrel horse. Tansie did lots of patterning on him but just didn’t have time to do much more. I’ve been riding him the past couple of weeks, just reminding him of leads, leg cues, etc. Monday, we’re sending him to Jess Mueller Routier (she was the NHSRA’s top barrel racer for at least 1 year and lots of experience with training), to get him going.
He’s incredibly kind, wants to be your best friend. I’m actually surprised at what a fast learner he is! If I was going into the barrel business, I’d probably be tempted to keep him. He’s good in the pasture, which is most of your riding. Anyway, if you happen to know of someone, please pass the word along. At this point, he’s priced at less than $5,000 but not sure how long that will last if Jess really makes some headway on him quickly. He’s not a very pretty horse – nicely built but a very, very plain head and ears that are just a bit long, too. (I have his 8 generation pedigree, too).

I have several nice horses for sale. One would be a great 4 h colt to maturity. he is 2 yo big sorrel gelding. he is a hunter /jumper dressage prospect. bred great and hauls great to. asking 2,000.00 he is apha solid. he loves people and would rather spend time with them then other horses. The perfect show horse. I also have two othe bay and white tobianos one is a 3 yo barrel futurity prospect and the other is a 7 yo broke and would make a great all around rope, barrels trail ect. she crosses, water, tarps, bridges ect. both of these are mares the first one is a gelding. contact Deb Ryan

Glendive will have a tack sale at our show. It will consist of tack and clothing, both new and used from Ann McRae and anyone else interested.
